Footpatrol x Adidas Equipment Running Cushion 93 – Here’s some info about the upcoming collab between London based Footpatrol and Adidas.
From the press material:
The Equipment line first launched in the early 90s. adidas’ aim was to focus on pure performance, and to make a running shoe that ‘really’ worked for runners. By 1993, the Equipment line had various footwear models designed to cater to every type of runner: the Support for supinators; the Guidance for pronators; the stripped-back Racer, and the Cushion, a more supportive model designed to offer all-round comfort. 23 years later, running and running models have evolved, but adidas’ attitude towards performance footwear remains unchanged.
For our latest collaborative project with adidas Consortium, we look to adidas’ history of London inspired footwear for inspiration, producing an EQT Running Cushion 93 with a colour palette and detailing reminiscent of the legendary adidas London runner. Our 2016 rendition sports a combined nylon & mesh upper with premium pig-skin suede and synthetic nubuck overlays in Black and Grey. Burgundy accents feature on the 3-stripes webbing, lace jewel, tongue label and heel. To add contrast to the silhouette we switched the 3-stripes webbing on the medial panel to Black.
The adidas Equipment and Footpatrol Gasmask logos sit embroidered on the heels. The footbed comes in a deep Burgundy colour with repeat Consortoium graphic with an illustration of the Footpatrol mascot at the heel.
